VILLAGE THERAPY OFFERS:

Complimentary 15-minute phone consultations with parents to determine if evaluation is warranted


Comprehensive evaluations and treatment planning for speech, language, reading and writing, and feeding issues, including:

  • Thorough assessment (including standardized testing) in office in South Orange, NJ

  • Home and/or school observations offered if needed

  • Collaboration with teachers and other health professionals on child's "team"

  • Detailed Speech-Language evaluation report provided to family

  • Meeting with parents/family to discuss report and plan of action


Ongoing therapy services to address speech, language, reading and writing, and feeding issues

  • Treatment sessions provided in office in South Orange, NJ or daycare (if needed) 

  • Parent and caregiver training on how to practice and carry over skills on an everyday basis

  • Follow-up family conferences to discuss progress and update treatment goals as necessary


Teacher Workshops

  • Provides teachers with important background knowledge about speech, language, and feeding skills, developmental milestones & red flags to look for, as well as practical classroom recommendation & strategies

  • Provided in local preschools & daycare centers

  • A great way to determine if a student requires a full evaluation/intervention!

  • Includes 1:1 speech-language screening, observation of student in natural setting and discussion with parents/teachers about how to proceed

Parent Seminars on a variety of topics related to Speech-Language Pathology, including:

  • Infant-toddler feeding issues

  • Preschool issues

  • Elementary school issues

  • Adolescent issues

  • Seminars are offered to groups of 5 or more parents/caregivers at the group's preferred location
